Guest Session with Mayor Daishi Kanno of Nishikawa, Yamagata Rethinking the Roles of Public and Private Sectors in Accelerating Kotohira’s Future

18:00~
Last year, at the Terrarock in Takamatsu event, Mayor Daishi Kanno of Nishikawa Town, Yamagata, drew wide attention for his forward-thinking approach to regional revitalization. This time, we’re bringing him to Kotohira to share how a small mountain town of just 4,500 people is driving innovation through government-led initiatives.
Meanwhile in Kotohira—a town known for tourism—community-driven projects are gaining momentum, sparked by passionate local leaders like Mr. Ryutaro Ike, the 28th-generation head of Goninbyakushō Ike Shoten.
In this session, Mayor Kanno will be joined by local key players for a cross-sector dialogue exploring how the public and private spheres can collaborate more effectively to shape the future of regional towns.
Kotohira’s community-driven energy meets Nishikawa’s government-backed boldness—don’t miss this rare opportunity to gain insights, inspiration, and practical takeaways.
