"Sharing our population."
Instead of lamenting population decline, what if residents, regular visitors, and newcomers all supported a region together? The Shikoku Share Summit, a local conference built around this idea, returns to Kotohira for the first time in three years.
The keynote will be delivered by Anju Ishiyama, Representative Director of the Sharing Economy Association, Japan, joined by more than 50 practitioners from all over the country. Over two days, the whole town of Kotohira becomes the venue: six breakout sessions — Travel, Work Styles, Regional HR, Creative Expression, Local Zebras, and Education & Inquiry — plus a world café, a networking party featuring lightning talks, and a special local tour curated by the regional DMC "KOTOHIRA TRAVEL" (details to be announced).
Kotohira, a historic temple town at the foot of Kotohira-gu Shrine, is now challenging itself to move "from tourism to relationships." If you are interested in community building, dual-residence lifestyles, or new ways of working, you are more than welcome to join us.
* Please note that sessions will be held in Japanese.
