Bamboo Light Project “Tanabata Light, A Spark of Beginnings”
2025.07.04
10:00~夕方ごろまで
Kotohira × Manno Bamboo Light Project Begins
This summer, we light up our towns — together.
Join us for the first step in a new bamboo lantern project, guided by CHIKAKEN, Japan’s original bamboo light collective led by artist Chikao Ikeda.
We’ll gather bamboo from the local forests of Kotohira and Manno, and turn it into warm, glowing works of art — part of a larger bamboo light festival planned for this fall.
It’s a day to create, connect, and light the way forward.
